This link and another I just uploaded have mangled read-online and jpg2000 files, note how the first page displays while the PDF file is fine. Something wrong with the rendering during the file derivation.

Gerry,

The large size PDF is okay, I suggest you remove that large on, then you replace the small size PDF and try to re derive from that

to me nothing appears to be mangled, except your first scan, the printed side of the label, has been turned 90 degrees so its longer than the width of the on line reader page. Then the right had column of text has been missed

I suggest it maybe due to the devriver going by the printed text when detecting borders.

And wanting to have text upright for reading on line, so people dont have to lie on the side while reading on line.

Its called Artificial Intelligence getting confused with something its not programmed to understand, I suspect the rest of that label is there, but the on-line-reader is hiding it.

Sorry for not being clear, but got a splitting sinus headache right now.

Possible workaround is scan that label on top of a background of square paper, to force the devriver to create wide viewing paper for the on line reader

Peter,

Yes it only happens on files where I rotated one of the images. They will have to fix this. It also occurs in the JP2 archive which is derived from the PDF.

So it is up to you, to NOT confuse the IA AI and stop rotating things between scans. It tried its best to work out what was going thru your mind, when you rotated that label.

Artificial Intelligence can never be as smart as us people.

IQ researcher to AI computer being tested for IQ;

Q "what is the colour of that car that just went past?"

A from AI; "hey, you did not tell me to record the colours of cars coming past, but I can tell you how many wheels it had, seeing you told me to count wheels, to decide if its a car or motor bike."

(A hour later AI has a nervous breakdown, when a 6 wheeled bus comes past, followed by a 16 wheeler articulated car transporter carrying 8 cars all painted red, and then a motorised unicycle and a 4 passenger hovercraft come from the other direction.)

Next thing Gerry, you will expect a computer to make your life decisions for you?

LoL, signed
